The idea of the international project Step by step sprang up in the Russian State Library for Young Adults in 2010 during the first visit of Britt-Marie Ingden Ringselle and Kristiina Kolehmainen. It's aim is to create a day by day life story of Swedish and Russian libraries. So every day one photo of the particular day in a library will be posted on the Photoblog. We hope that in a year each of the participating libraries (PUNKTmedis, Serieteket, Russian State Library for Young Adults) will get a vivid image of their own and sister libraries. By the implementation of this project we hope to join IFLA Sister Libraries programme. We believe that this kind of project will help our librarians not only to establish good relations with foreign colleagues and exchange ideas and experience with them, but to be inspired to develop cultural and professional connections.

Made this recommendation on one of our staff meetings today and thought - why not also on the blog? They wanted to meet some of the kids who comes to our "Stick-Café" (knit-café, roughly translated). Our dear colleauge Karin makes this wonderful Christmas wreath every year, filled with candy, if you carefully take out a candy the wreath maintains even more beautiful! 19.12.2012 PUNKTmedis PUNKTmedis have a new exhibition! The other week, on the 13th of December we celebrated Lucia at the library. Our superb colleauges sang to all our visitors, wonderful! 17.12.2012 PUNKTmedis The last organized book-talk for this year! A wonderful class from Klara gymnasium. The students are going to make a podradio - read one novel of our time and talk about it. Very inspiring group of students, the gave me a lot of book recommendations! 16.12.2012 PUNKTmedis Maybe you have seen our Christmas Calender? This is todays box and the hint of the day! This is a famous footballplayer for the team Hammarby. Sometimes we are blessed twice:-) 24.11.2012 PUNKTmedis Tahereh Mafi answers questions from the audience and signs her book. 23.11.2012 PUNKTmedis Tahereh Mafi, the author of "Shatter me" visited us yesterday and signed a copy for PUNKTmedis:-) 22.11.2012 PUNKTmedis All staff members had an education in loading "audio books" so everybody now knows how to show our visitors with difficulties to read. And our boss Martin also participated, of course:-) 21.11.2012 PUNKTmedis Today Kristiina should have celebrated her 56th birthday. Serieteket will organize a memorial evening and we celebrate her memory with the wonderful book dedicated to her and her heroic work. 20.11.2012 PUNKTmedis Our "guarding angel" Daniel helps us close the library and he also appears when we are in trouble because of the "wrong" visitors.
